about
A little bit about this song---My grandmother passed away just before Christmas last year and this song is about dealing with her loss through the lens of holidays past. It's also inspired by one of my favorite Christmas carols, a kind of lullaby that you might recognize when you hear it. This song reminds me of cycles: the small ones like we celebrate each year, those we’re confronted with when we lose a loved one, and how they tie in together. This one’s dedicated to my mom, Jamie Skoda.
